30 August, Recuperation
Fever, running nose, cough and body ache, all came as one combo. Heineken was my syrup then. As the effect faded in, I felt drowsy and fell asleep. Woke up in the morning and the fever subsided. I guessed Kim had to go ahead to meet our course director. Checked my email for my classmates' reply on the course feedback. And again, seems like no one bothers anyway. It doesn't matter to me anymore. I don't feel a thing though.
*cough* *cough*
Just bought my fav. football club home jersey recently. It was in youth size XL. It fitted me perfectly and it saved me another 20 bucks. I'm still a youth huh? Hee...
Having our company registered for the coming Ascendas football tournament, I was appointed to be the skipper. I guessed it was just a 'title' that no one wana take it up, but I'm sure Jo, Tung and I will surely bring the team to some glory, at least to the semi finals. The tournament gona last for four days and is starting next Monday. The guys were pretty excited about it. We're just a bunch of football fanatics. We're team Edno!

28 August, Feng Shui matters
Opened my eyes and thought why I had woke up so early on a Saturday morning. Unflipped my mobile and realized it just few minutes to 9a.m. Couldn't get to sleep since my body in 'wake-up' mode. Upon returning to my room after wash up, the thought of having a major room restructure struck me.
Vacuuming, wiping, and mopping, all happened from the morning till mid noon. Mama was alittle surprised that the vacuum cleaner and mop were residing in my room for more than half a day. Its been many months since my last restructured, and I think a little different would be nice.
About five in the evening, hwee, a newcastle fan, called and asked me if I wana catch the match between Liverpool and West Ham. I agreed since I needed a break after the long day of cleaning up. Met up with the regulars at serangoon garden's happy daze. Manged to get the best seats in the house and ordered a pint of hoegaarden. Hwee came shortly after my first gulp and yam followed. Rolando showed up. It was his first time to catch a match with us at happy daze. Of course, we gave him a lukewarm welcome.
The match started off and soon enough, West Ham's Zamora scored a goal while Liverpool's gatekeeper was caught offguarded. While the match was still going, May-Yin and Eliz had reached. Hwee, being a gentleman, he gave up his comfy seat so that the girls can enjoy the match on the sofa. Shortly after a minor seating adjustment, Liverpool's centre-back, Agger, scored from 30 metres. The crowd cheered in the cafe and Hwee was 'suan' by us as usual. We insisted Hwee should have changed his seat long time ago once Liverpool got their lead by a goal from Crouch just before half time. Later on, the match proceeded on a goalless second half, which means Liverpool won the match 2-1. Accompanied Rolando to watch the match between Man Utd and Watford and the red devils won by 2-1 as well.
Coming back home after the supper, I was relaxed after a hot shower. Drying my hair with the towel and listening to Zhang Zheng Yue "Zai Jian" over a couple of times. Enjoying the serenity sight of Hougang Interchange right before me. Some flashbacks passed me, it was a mixture sweet and sour... Next, heading to bed and looking forward to my Sunday's game.
When I opened my eyes again, I saw God cleaning the Hougang town... I headed back to bed.

22 August, string theory relaxes my mind
Rushing my project once again. This time, it's about this disease called thalassemia. I think I was lucky enough to get to interview two thalassemia carriers. The first patient was Jus. She and her husband are thalassemia alpha-beta carriers. According to their doctor, this is such a rare case! Jus had aborted their first baby since they had diagnosed it with thalassemia major. Quite a tough choice for them back then, but now, they do have a 'thala-free' baby. On the other hand, Serene told me that her dad is a carrier too. However, the unbelievable case is that she and the rest of her five siblings, none of them has diagnosed with the disease! While statistic shows, if one of your parents is a thalassemia minor carrier, at least 50% of their offspring will inherit the disease. I think Serene's family just overrules the figures.
Listening to my fav pvd's politics to dancing 2 again. The string theory by alex gold simply keeps me going. I felt relaxed though. Took an hour break to play with my music mix and Felicia happened to listen to my mix. She mentioned that the mix was addictive. I was flattered. Keke!!
She asked me when will be the next dosage and I started laughing away. Maybe I got a fan! Heehee... This thursday gona be my exam again. In order to enjoy the three weeks of school break, I have to go through the miserable paper. Looking back, it's been almost a year since I started this course. Gosh!! One more year to struggle~ Gambate!!

10 August, NACHOOooo...
Jack Black, a plump fellow loaded with creative gestures of comicality. Started to know him after the "School of Rock" and he is simply entertaining. He's cool!
Met up with Sher to catch Nacho Libre last Saturday. I think Sher, you need to slow down your speech. I'm Uncle Will remember? Please bear with me. Hee... I think the film was rather a low budget production but the simplicity is just right. The melody of the soundtrack is comical, but it sits in nicely with the story content. Learnt something from the film, or should I say, it has reminded me. Nacho wanted fame for no one but himself, he wrestled. Even with the eagle's egg yolk and his stretchy pants, he lost again and again. Eventually, he got his mind sort out. He wrestled because he wanted to provide a better life for the orphans. He won. I know this sounds like just another "happy ending story", but it works!
Yesterday, all Singaporeans celebrated our 41 years of independence. I 'celebrated' mine with a morning football game with my buddies. Our opponents were in their early twenties. They were fast and furious, but just lacking abit of teamwork. Reminded myself about NachOooo - play for the team and not just for yourself. We won almost every game. However, just about to think that I have controlled our team's movement, we realized that there was this opponent who was talking non-stop during the game. He couldn't walk his talk and that made it even more sickening. Unwanted frequencies!! Maybe he should just sit at one corner and be the commentator.
K is getting married soon. I'm so glad that he is settling down. Somehow, I was able to sense his excitement over it. He assured me that his passion for football will not be extinguish after marriage. I was not expecting that since a few of them who made that statement end up eating their own words. I think K is different from them as I know him for a long while. Our conversation was then focused on me. You know, the usual question. I guess I just got to hang on to that for the moment. For how long, I don't know. I think heaven knows~

2 August, Silver for IPPT
My feet turned cold as time was moving towards 1700. Feeling lethargic and restless about the coming test. Eventhough Sher had promised to keep her fingers and toes crossed for me, I just hope my weak ankle won't give way for the shuttle run. After all the static stations, I felt even more unmotivated about the coming 2.4km run. Just barely a few steps from the starting point, I really felt like a dead fish. But anyway, I found a pacer infront and I thought it was a good idea to keep up with him. But unfortunately, my pacer kept changing. Don't mistaken that I ran fast, in fact I changed twice the pacer who came from behind me. Nevertheless, I pressed on. Down to the final lap, I'm running out of gas. There wasn't any pit-stop. Felt my ankle getting painful but there was no turning back. When I stepped over the finish line, I was very surprised by my timing. Hmm... not gona care much about that since the cash was going to my bank. Hee... My result as follows: Shuttle-run(9.2s), Chin-up(10), Sit-up(41), Standing board jump (234cm), and finally 2.4km run(11:19min). Oh ya, Sher was telling me that she gona bring me to her recommended Chinese physician to treat my injured ankle this weekend. Hope it ain't gona be serious, else I'm gona miss my Sunday's football game.
Thanks those who had given me confident in this IPPT test. And Sher, thanks for keeping your fingers and toes crossed today! You can uncrossed them now...
