29 January, SMU Patron's Day
It wasn't that exciting as I thought it will be. Or rather, it was a boring one. The residue was real party animals, but sad to say, only a handful of them. Maybe there're lessons today, maybe it was a Monday, or maybe it was just SMU.
So much for Patron's Day, and I think I'm looking forward to Chinese New Year. I'm not eyeing on the angbaos, but on the holidays instead.
Gi gona leave SG for good on the 4th Feb. Things over here didn't work out well enough to keep her, I hope there will be more great things over at HK for her~
~Gi, keep in touch~

21 January, It's finally over!
It's the last day of school, last test for this course, maybe last time I'll see some of you. We're ending this chapter of our life and continue to pursue what we wanted in life. It can be the plan of saving up for your next LV bag, or it can simply be furthering your studies. I wish you all well and pursue what you wanted to achieve in your life or career.
I guess nothing much gona change for me for the time being. Maybe, working my way up the corporate ladder as most of you are doing, but I'm doing it my way. At least it will not be involving office politics, I suppose. I detest it but as I said before, it will exist in every organizations.
What I've learn in this course? Well, I've learn to communicate better of course. Ah, crappy...oh ya, I've learn to do research and do proper citation from the standard Havard system also leh... I think I've picked up some valuable life experiences which I think it's important. And got to know a few good friends too - you know who you are. Take care and keep in touch k~

18 January, MacBook Air or MacIdiot?
The launch of MacBook Air by Steve Jobs had indeed restructured many people's "Purchase List", at least to some people around me. In short, they're buying the nanotechnology. People buys beautiful stuffs coz they just want to look good on themselves. The products' characters reflect indirectly to the owner. So, if you know your stuffs well, I guess you're pretty much in control. What if for those who just wana the "cool" look? Sorry to say this, but I think they're just a bunch of MacIdiots.
Some time ago, I got a friend who came to me and seek for my advice of getting a lappy. I suggested a PC-based lappy since she was just a basic user. The next moment, she got herself a MacBook. I'm not against MacBook or what, but I think consumer tends to be blinded by what they want rather than what they really need. The last time I knew was she had some trouble working on MacBook and switched back to PC later.
True enough, MacBook possesses a more stylish design as compared to most lappies out there, but whether it reflects on its owner or not, that's a different story. So if you ain't sure about MacBook but insisted of getting one, just work on it quietly. You don't have to broadcast it with your mouth and even on your msn nick!
So ask yourself, a MacBook or MacIdiot? Or simply settle with MacDonalds?

14 January, The future of data storage
From megabyte to gigabyte. Well, terabyte will be the next word that most people will hanging around their mouth. I was sharing my final module project proposal with Ah-ger that night before the "Flight" event got started. So what's next after terabyte? If you've goggled it, you will find petabyte, exabyte, zettabyte, and lastly yottabyte in wikipedia. Do we really need such humongous space for our stuffs? Maybe we don't now... but maybe another 20 years down the road, we might need more than yotta.
With microsoft developing the photosynth, it's gona be AMAZING! Don't be mistaken, I'm not advocating for microsoft, I'm sharing ideas and new technologies with everyone out there. Somehow this new platform will allow people from all over the world to share their pictures, and their perspectives.
Updated on 250108: According to whatsbyte.com, brontobyte and geopbyte are the last in list!

9 January, One's back, another's going
O2 beeped off and I realized that Jesslyn is back from Aust. It has been a good two years over there, I supposed. On the other hand, Carrine gona fly to Norway for two years or so. Hopefully, we can all meet up before our stepping onto our next stage in life.
Spoken to dad about the acquisition of a new place. He gave me new insight and I think he made lots of sense out of it. Hmm...
Last night, I came across a Mandarin talk show while channel surfing. It was a China production series that talked about Confucius and China's learning traditions. It was kind of a human psychological analysis that focused on our growing stages.
From the show: "At the age of 10, we're doing our primary studies. We tends to see all things in a positive angle. Our world is wonderful with colours and the Prince and Princess will eventually live happily ever after. We're being optimistic. At the age of 20, that's when we started to step into the reality, we see the ugliness side of life. We face despicable, treacherous, and also cunning people. We witness fellow colleagues back-stabbing each other just to climb up the corporate ladder. We're such a pessimist. At the age of 30, that's what I'm gona turn to this year, we have a mixed of 10 and 20. We're building our self-confidence. We know how beautiful our world can be, and how evil can a person be."
How true is this? Maybe you've already seen enough even before 30, or maybe you're still living at the age of 10 and you think everyone can harmoniously live under one roof? There are always many possibilities in all things and we all know that. The question lies on you if you wanted to make it happen or not.
Think.

4 January, Gentlemen, start your engine!
French-horn girl was seeking a way out of the shit, it's a dirty job and it has to be done. "Many things are happening whether you like it or not. It all depends on how you look at it and if you wana pursue it further." She agreed with my words and ended our conversation with a headache.
A cliche phrase again - Time flies. Gona finished my mass comm studies by the end of this month. Hmm... finally I can call it a day to all the books? Maybe... But, I know that it's time for me to step on the accelerator and release the clutch! I've burnt the rubber enough! Sound the horn and let me stain the track with rubber mark!
Oh ya, I've attached the NYE countdown vidz below. Enjoy!
