27 Aug, VJ turns ONE
It's been a year since I became a vj. Well, nothing glamorous for me as I'm working behind the scene most of the time, in fact all the time. Everyone likes recognition. It's no different for me. I've been trying to pave my way, but you know, sometimes you gotta be patience. Patience huh~ ya, I got a limit too. I'm not saying that I'm getting impatient, but I would rather admit that I wanna get immensely involved in the communication sector.
As we know, everyone can be complaining about their lifestyle, their career, and their paycheck. However, if they gonna do nothing to it, nothing gonna change. I hope you get what I mean. Ya, I'm looking for opportunities to get involved in the communication industry. After all, I did complete my mass comm studies, and will be graduating tomorrow.
Toughy asked me the other day if I feel a thing for the convocation. Having the same sentiment, I don't feel anything great either. Toughy's right. We will won't feel it unless there's a change, and the core factor will come from the piece of white paper that we've struggled so hard to achieve.
Most probably I'll be looking forward to see our Motherly Carrine, Toughy Karen, Girlie Kimberly, and not forgetting lecturers like Sunny and Lisa. Hmm... hopefully I can get to speak to Ms Hudson too! Maybe she'll become my potential employer! Hahaha~

22 Aug, Influencing or Influenced?
Sony gonna launch its high-res PSP 3000 later this October and with a built-in microphone that enables it to use like a phone. In fact, the phone function, that made use of Skype, was already in the market earlier this year. I'm sure many PSP lovers would like their old ones to be upgraded.
Playing games on the move ain't a bad idea as long you don't cause any trouble to other commuters. On top of that, US researchers had mentioned playing video games improves manual dexterity among surgeons, making them faster and less likely to make mistakes. How true? I'm ain't sure. But imagine having surrounded by a few surgeons, and with them playing with the operation knifes above your body. Gosh~ I'm sure that's quite a view huh!
On the other hand, video games can be quite a dangerous tool too. For instance, Thailand has banned the Grand Theft Auto computer game after a disturbed teenager allegedly killed a taxi driver in a copycat crime. How ridiculous? Not really, just like the kids here in Singapore, they got influenced by the WWE superstars' finishing moves and try to perform those stunts. Personally I've witnessed some school kids mimicking those stunts at the playground around my area.
(Overheard while a kid trying to perform the famous Undertaker's choke-slam)
Kid 1: Ok, later you must jump.
Kid 2: Okok.
Kid 3: I want to do tomb-stone!
I really dunno what's in those kids' head. Maybe they've been brainwashed!

19 Aug, Waiting, Working, Wandering, Wondering
If anyone gonna ask me, I'll say, I didn't enjoy this trip. Maybe the only good thing was the stuffs I bought for myself and ah-ger. The stay was just too short and some accidents had occurred due to the aggressive individuals. The good thing was, everyone is back in a piece. Had wasted time too much time to wait for this and that. We all agree we hate the waiting game, but it will still happen. You rush to meet the time, yet you'll end up waiting for the late comers! WTF!!
On top of that, the itinerary was tight. There was a time limit for every activity , and even for sleep! I'm not kidding! I had slept for less than five hours in each day. I felt kind of grouchy though.
Anyway I've picked up a valuable lesson along the way in the conversation with an ex-military officer. He said he practiced OODA Loop all the time.
"What's OODA?" I questioned.
"Observe, Orient, Decide, Act". He elaborated with his daily routine as example, and I thought that was important to know. This is a strategic concept originated by military strategist Col. John Boyd of the United States Air Force.
Our conversation had stretched further when I've asked about his active days. His words just flowed smoothly and I wished I had more time to listen more of his stories coz' I guessed that really differentiate the reality and the war movies.
With OODA added to my brain bank, I guessed I have to blend that well into my triple P's strategy.
***I need a real holiday trip***

12 Aug, Jin Kang Kor to win Olympig?
Ok, Tao Li didn't make it to the top three. So? What's the problem with that?
"Wah Lao! Only come in fifth!" - A 'top-management' thinker.
"How come didn't strike gold?!" - A 'full-time' 4D investor.
"There goes her fat BONUS!" - A 'humble' civil servant.
It was rather interesting to see how our people actually responded to this massive sports campaign. I mean, we don't have to take it too hard if our representatives didn't win anything. So what if they did win gold medal? Is that gonna make you proud as a Singaporean when you stepped into others' motherland? Nah~ you represent yourself! Not Tao Li, I mean if she make it.
However, there's no point to discuss or debate such topic with self-assertive individuals, you know it's just hard to win the "olympigs".
Sometimes, I can really 'sense' the bird-brain in some of you who gave senseless comments or ridiculous remarks.
"Use your blain! Use your blain!" (quoted from PCK)

9 August, We, the citizen of Jin Kang Kor...
So did you win anything on the 8 million ToTo? Well, 8 person just turn millionaire overnight and they must be enjoying their National Day either in a car showroom, or maybe taking a second look at the property brochure that was left untouched on the coffee table. Bloody hell! I gotta postpone my retirement again.
"What?!? You're thinking of retiring?" You might asked.
"Yup! I mean everyone has that in mind, it's just a matter of time!"
There isn't many flags flying in my area this National Day. Hmm... It's kind of unusual coz' if I could still recall, most 'bricks' were painted with red and white stripes. Maybe the people just couldn't care if they did or not, and flying your flag means nothing but following orders like what you did in the past. Coz' if you're patriotic, you don't need anyone to tell you what to do with that mother flag of yours.
I mean if you really have one, don't you?!?

5 Aug, F.ART!
Anything's possible. Ya, even retrieving data from my hard disk which I had it formatted accidentally. I thought everything was gone from the moment I saw the USB was attached to my lappy, till I found the 'antidote' online. Now gotta wait till the COMEX and get my one tera-station, coz' 250GB is simply not enough.
You know sometimes, I really wonder what's going on in 'these' people's minds. They ignored your words and started their way of doing things. The end result, which was very much anticipated, sucks BIG time.
If you're do not have the expertise in that particular field, oh please..."Mai Kay Kiang" and please leave it to the professional. Coz' you may have demonstrated your incapability and makes a fool of yourself.
And that came from a designer," What's that hanging? It just makes no sense." I couldn't defend that, coz' I couldn't agree more with the comment she made.
"It's better to do without it, coz' it's blocking the lightings, hindering the overall ambience, and worst of all, it's just messy!" She added.
"Er...I suppose that's call art?"
"What!?! Art?!? Hahahaha~ A 'Frivolous ART' !"

1 Aug, 7181
Why 7181? Well... it's the 1st of August and 1st day of the lunar seventh month, or so call the ghost month. Everyone, especially the Chinese is getting extremely careful when it comes to hanging out late at night at some secluded or ulu places. Some postpone their renovation plan, their holiday trip and also registering of marriages. So I suppose the sales won't be hitting their average this month, except the bidders or people who participated in the "Ge-Tai". I could still remember there was once I overheard the highest bidder, for a joss stick gold pot, went above 140K, and the news came out the very next day. Maybe I should join in the crowd this year and feel the ambience.
Personally, I believe they exist everywhere around us since I have a few encounters with 'them'. The fact is, sometimes I do experience unexpected noise over here and there. I'm kind of getting used to it. As long they stay at their own bay, I'm fine with that. Hopefully can "HUAT" abit this month too~ So folks, remember to buy ibet huh~
And it's Carrine's birthday! I bet she must be enjoying herself over at Norway. Arugh~
